The White House needs to hear from

We won’t mince words: The U.S. has been dragging its feet on getting vaccines to other countries. That gave the original virus ample time to mutate, bringing us Delta — and now, Omicron.

By getting more vaccines distributed globally, we can make Omicron the last variant that turns our world upside down. That’s why we’re kicking off an important new advocacy push today to do just that — and wanted you to be the first to know!

Today’s action takes less than a minute: We’re asking every person reading this to tweet at the White House advocating for investing $17 billion in the global vaccination mission. Will you add your voice right now?

Here’s why this is urgent: Less than a month from now, February 18, is the deadline for Congress to set budget priorities for 2022. Right now, they are looking to the White House for direction on how much to invest in the global vaccination efforts.

Before Congress hears from the White House, the White House needs to hear from us. This decision will determine how fast we can get life-saving, pandemic-ending vaccines to the countries that need them most, so it’s time to raise our voices!

With a $17 billion investment this year — just 0.3% of what we spent on the war in Afghanistan — we can get people around the world vaccinated, slow the spread of the virus, and give it fewer and fewer opportunities to mutate.

There’s no telling how many lives this investment could save — not to mention how much it could save in economic losses this year, next year, and the year after.

Tweeting is easy: You can stick with the verbiage we provide, or add your own words to make it more personal. The important thing is to make sure the White House hears from as many of us as possible before February 18.

The clock starts now. Take one minute to tweet at the White House voicing your support for a $17 billion investment in global vaccination efforts, so we can end this pandemic once and for all.

We’ll be in touch a lot more over the coming weeks with new ways you can help push our mission forward. Stay tuned!
